Because We Are…

 

Breast cancer survivors

Know right from the start,

We have a special bond,

We are sisters at heart.

 

We’ve made the same journey,

In the same shoes,

First discovery, then diagnosis

and the heart-breaking news,

 

Chemo and radiation causing

Miserable sick days,

which outnumber the good days.

And for some, the bad hair days

Followed soon with …no hair days.

 

We’ve laughed together,

Hugged and shed tears.

We’ve shared our hopes, our dreams

As well as our fears.

 

A friendship forms, the bond is special.

We can be near or apart,

But we will always be

Our Philosophy

."Each of us has faced the reality of our diagnosis and its impact on our lives. We share our hopes, our fears, and our tears. We meet monthly to draw strength and comfort from each other as we travel this road together."

Our History

Sisters At Heart was formed in November 2007 with the hope that we can make a difference in the lives of women diagnosed with breast cancer. We also work within the community to promote breast cancer awareness. Survivors together inspire hope, share experiences, offer love and support.
